The next step to improving is understanding the map. Knowing the map gives you an advantage in outplaying your enemy and helps communication with the team.
In Mobile Legends, the map is split into three different areas — Base, Lanes and Jungle.

The area behind the arrows is called the Base. The arrows are the Lanes, split into the top, middle and bottom lane. All other areas are part of the Jungle.
Buffs
In the jungle, there are monsters that grant different buffs. These strengthen your hero temporarily, giving you an advantage.
The map has different colored dots and symbols — Purple, Green, Gold, Paw and Sword representing different monsters and buffs they give.
Monsters at the purple dots give ability buffs. These buffs vary based on the hero’s class.
Tank Buff: Reduce mana cost of all abilities. Increase magic and physical defense by 15%
Fighter Buff: Reduce cooldown of all abilities by 15%. Abilities slow enemy movement speed by 20% for 1.5 seconds.
Assassin Buff: Reduce cooldown of all abilities by 10%. Reduce energy cost of all abilities by 20%. Increase magic and physical penetration by 15 points.
Mage Buff: Reduce cooldown of all abilities by 20%. Reduce the mana cost of all abilities by 50%. Increase magic power by 30 points.
Marksman Buff: Increase physical attack by 10%. Causes abilities to increase movement speed by 15% for 2 seconds when they hit the enemy.
Support Buff: Reduce the cooldown of all abilities by 10%. Increase the mana regeneration per 5 seconds by 50 points. Increase the effect of healing abilities by 15%.
Certain heroes have greater priority for getting these buffs, for example, assassins should have priority over supports as assassins can use the buff to help the team land some early kills.
Monsters at the green dots give health, while monsters at the gold dots give a gold buff. Heroes gain 10 gold every two seconds for a total of 30 seconds from the gold buff.
The monster at the Paw symbol is the turtle. One of the two boss monsters in the game, the turtle spawns within two minutes of the match starting. Killing the turtle rewards the team with gold and experience points.

The Sword symbol is the lord. The second boss monster of Mobile Legends, it spawns seven minutes into the match. Killing the lord also rewards gold and experience points, but more importantly, it allows the team that defeated him to summon him to fight alongside them. This is a big bonus when pushing down lanes.
